Blizzard of Az

Conceptualized and formed by Tony Cortezza and Matt Lauzon, “Blizzard of Az” is a tribute to the collaborative music of former Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne and the highly acclaimed late, great guitarist Randy Rhoads. “Blizzard of Az” faithfully recreates Ozzy Osbourne’s first two solo albums “Blizzard of Oz” and “Diary of a Madman,” which are widely regarded as the pinnacles of hard rock and heavy metal music of the early 1980s. On those records, Randy Rhoads ushered in a new “Neo-Classical” guitar style, playing and co-creating such hard rock radio staples as “Crazy Train,” “I Don’t Know,” “Flying High Again,” and “Mr. Crowley.” Check out Blizzard of Az on The District Stage and rediscover the finest era of Ozzy Osbourne’s music.
